Is the bottle suitable for pasteurisation?
Yes, the glass construction allows gradual heating for pasteurising juices and syrups. Avoid sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock. For best results pour the hot product into warm bottles and cool slowly.
Can these bottles be used for carbonated drinks?
These bottles are designed primarily for still liquids such as juices, syrups and oils. For carbonated drinks we recommend purpose-made pressure-rated bottles with crown caps or swing-top closures.
How should the bottles be cleaned and sterilised before use?
Wash with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and sterilise by boiling, in an oven at 120°C for 15 minutes, or with food-safe sanitiser. Make sure the bottles are completely dry when bottling oils, or warm when filling with hot product.
Are caps included with the pack?
Yes, the pack contains 10 bottles together with matching TYPE M 18mm caps that are ready to use immediately after sterilisation.
