Usage: This 0.2 Micron Air Filter is designed for use with oil-free air compressors like pond pumps. It can also serve as an airlock for fermenters and filter air when dispensing real ale from casks.
Features: Fine PE membrane effectively removes microbes and bacteria. Compatible with hoses ranging from 4mm to 6mm in internal diameter. MM filter body construction.

What is this filter used for?
The filter is designed for sterile air handling with oil-free compressors. It protects the fermentation vessels from airborne microbes and bacteria, acts as an air lock and filters air from the kegs when bottling the beer. This is not a liquid filter.
Which hoses are suitable for the filter?
The filter is suitable for hoses with an inner diameter of 4mm to 6mm. We recommend the EVA Barrier 5MM hose for the most secure connection and optimal airflow.
How effective is 0.2 micron PE membrane?
0.2 micron pore size reliably traps bacteria and most microbes, the industry standard for sterile air filtration. The PE membrane (polyethylene) is chemically inert and suitable for the food and beverage industry.
What happens if the filter gets wet?
If moisture or liquid gets on the membrane, the filter must be replaced. A wet membrane loses its filtering ability and can become a source of contamination. Always install the filter so that condensate does not accumulate in it.
Can this filter be used on the liquid side of the fermenter?
No. This filter is for gas and air only. Use it on air intakes, airlocks or CO₂ lines. For liquids, use a special liquid filter with a suitable housing and material.
