Why does the AISI 316 body with a PTFE seal suit hot processes?
PTFE is chemically inert and heat-resistant, and together with 316 steel the valve withstands temperatures up to +180 °C, making it suitable for hot filling and CIP cleaning.
Why use a ball valve for on/off duty?
A ball valve gives a full-bore, quick quarter-turn shut-off with very little flow restriction, which is ideal for clean open/close service.
How should the valve be maintained?
Flush it after use, operate it fully open or fully closed rather than throttling, and periodically check the PTFE seal so it stays leak-tight.
What is the supplied nut for?
The locking nut secures the valve to a tank wall or fitting for a stable, leak-tight mounting.
