Bung 32x48/H55 silicone with hole
Usage: This silicone bung is designed for use with an airlock or EVABarrier 6mm x 9.5mm hose as a blow-off tube during fermentation. Compatible with 3L and 5L Erlenmeyer Flasks.
Features: Made from lead-free curing silicone, suitable for all food and beverage contact. Pre-bored hole for airlock or blow-off tube installation.

What is the pre-bored hole for?
The hole takes an airlock, or a 6 mm x 9.5 mm blow-off tube, so the vessel can release CO2 during fermentation while staying sealed against contamination.
What does this bung fit?
It is shaped to seat in the neck of 3 L and 5 L Erlenmeyer flasks, tapering to grip the opening firmly.
Is the silicone food-safe?
Yes. It is made from lead-free curing silicone and is suitable for all food and beverage contact.
When should I use a blow-off tube instead of an airlock?
Use an airlock for normal fermentation; switch to a blow-off tube when a very active, high-krausen fermentation could otherwise push foam up into the airlock.
