What do I need to complete a DIN 11851 connection with this nut?
A DIN 11851 joint is built from three matching parts: a threaded liner, the round nut, and a gasket of the same nominal size. This part is the nut, so pair it with a liner and a gasket of the same DIN 11851 size to obtain a tight, hygienic connection.
Does this nut include a seal?
No. It has a seal-free construction, meaning the nut itself carries no gasket. The seal comes from a separate DIN 11851 gasket fitted between the cone and the liner, and that gasket is the wearing part you replace over time rather than the nut.
Is it suitable for pressurised food lines?
Yes. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of up to 40 bar, which covers pumped juice, dairy and beverage lines. As long as you stay within that rating, the AISI 304 stainless body keeps the joint reliable and hermetic.
How do I keep the connection hygienic when cleaning?
