What is this end cap used for?
It blanks off an open DIN 11851 fitting — for example a spare port on a tank, pump or pipeline — so the connection stays closed, clean and leak-free when it is not in use.
How is a leak-tight seal achieved?
The cap closes onto the DIN 11851 liner together with a matching gasket of the same nominal size, and that gasket provides the hermetic seal. Always pair the cap with a gasket that matches your fitting; the metal cap on its own is not the sealing element.
What temperature range can it handle?
It is suitable for both cold and hot liquids across a range from -30 °C to +120 °C, so it can stay in place through cold storage as well as hot-fill and cleaning steps.
Is it durable and easy to clean?
