How often should the cartridge be washed?
Wash the cartridge after each filtration cycle or if the flow rate decreases significantly. Regular cleaning with sodium percarbonate removes organic residues, yeast cells and clouding particles, thereby extending the life of the cartridge. Always rinse with clean water before reuse.
What does 1 micron absolute grade mean?
An absolute class of 1 micron means that the filter retains 99.9% of particles that are 1 micron in size or larger. It ensures clear and bright beer by removing yeast cells and clouding particles while maintaining flavor and body.
Does it also fit other filter housings?
This cartridge is designed specifically for the KL02042 10" Beer Filtration System. Also fits into most standard 10" filter housings in a dual open end (DOE) configuration. Before purchase, check the body measurements to ensure proper tightness.
How long does the cartridge last?
