Pump CO2 refill station single acting high pressure
Usage: This is a CO2 Refilling Station Pump. This pump will allow you to pump from high pressure cylinders into other high pressure cylinders. This pump is compact, small and can fill a standard 2.6kg cylinder in only a few minutes.
Features: This is an air driven pump so it doesn't require power. Just an air compressor. We recommend clean oil-free dry air to run this pump. The better quality your air the longer the pump will last. The pump doesn't include high pressure hoses. Having a good air supply will significantly increase the life of the seals in the pump. Clean dry air is important.
Technical data: Pump Ratio: 10:1 ratio (this means it will multiply your input pressure by 10 times. So if your air compressor is putting out 5 bar then the pump will put out 50bar (x10)). Input and Output Sizes: 3/8NPT. Seals: Liquid CO2 Compatible, UHMWPE.
Warnings: To purchase this pump you will also need to purchase separately: 1. Air Compressor (We recommend 3kW air compressor or larger that can deliver air supply of 120-150psi), 2. High Pressure hoses, 3. Scales.
⚠️ Important: Pressure vessel — use under pressure. Max 50bar (at 5bar input). Exceeding working pressure may cause deformation. Use a manometer.
⚠️ Important: Requires compressed air supply. Recommend 3kW+ air compressor delivering 120-150psi. Clean, oil-free, dry air significantly increases seal life.
Frequently asked questions about this product
What is the primary use of this CO2 refill station pump?
This air-driven pump transfers CO2 from large high-pressure cylinders into smaller ones, such as refilling a 2.6kg Sodastream-style cylinder from a standard large CO2 tank. This saves significant money compared to buying pre-filled cylinders or paying for exchange programs.
What is the pump ratio and what does it mean?
The 10:1 pump ratio means for every 1 psi of input air pressure, the pump generates 10 psi of output CO2 pressure. This high multiplication allows the pump to overcome the internal pressure of the receiving cylinder and transfer liquid CO2 effectively using a standard workshop air compressor.
Do I need any special equipment besides the pump?
You need a source of compressed air (standard workshop compressor), a large CO2 cylinder as the source, appropriate high-pressure hoses with CGA/DIN fittings for your cylinder types, and a scale to monitor fill weight. FERMETECH can advise on the complete setup for your specific cylinders.
Is this pump safe for home use?
Yes, when used according to instructions. The pump operates on air pressure — it does not use electricity — which eliminates electrical hazards. Always follow high-pressure gas safety practices: use rated hoses and fittings, work in a ventilated area, and never overfill cylinders beyond their rated capacity.
How long does a typical refill take?
A standard 2.6kg cylinder typically fills in 5-15 minutes depending on source cylinder pressure and ambient temperature. Cold source cylinders transfer faster because more CO2 is in liquid form. Weigh the receiving cylinder during filling to avoid overfilling.
