What is this venturi used for?
A venturi tube is designed to guide gas to liquid during transfer. It is often used to oxygenate wine to support yeast activity or to carbonize beer by introducing CO₂. Porous diffusion stone creates fine bubbles for effective gas dissolution.
What material is the pipe made of?
The pipe is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, which is food grade, corrosion resistant and suitable for wine and beer production. The porous candle is also made of stainless steel, ensuring hygienic operation and easy cleaning.
How does the Venturi effect work here?
As the liquid flows through the tube, the Venturi effect creates a pressure drop that pulls the gas through the liquid stream of the porous candle. The fine pores create microbubbles that quickly dissolve in the liquid, maximizing gas transfer efficiency.
What connection does it have?
The pipe has a DIN40 sanitary connection for installation on the pipe line. The kit also includes a ball valve with a 20" hose fitting for connecting a gas (oxygen or CO₂) source.
How to clean and maintain a diffusion stone?
Rinse the tube with hot water or cleaning solution after each use. The porous candle can be disinfected with standard CIP chemicals suitable for stainless steel. Avoid abrasive tools that can damage the porous surface.
