What is this elbow fitting used for?
It changes the direction of a piping run by 90 degrees, letting you route pipework around corners in brewing, winemaking, food processing and HoReCa systems.
What does male-female mean for connecting it?
One end has a male 1/4" BSP thread and the other a female 1/4" BSP thread. You screw the male end into a female port while the female end receives another male fitting, so you can chain fittings without an extra adapter.
