FermZilla Pressure Kit for Fermentation and Carbonation

FermZilla pressure kit enables professional beer fermentation in a home brewery. Compatible with both 27-liter and 55-liter FermZilla fermentation vessels.

What is the maximum pressure the kit supports?

The pressure release valve adjusts the maximum pressure at 2.4 bar, which is suitable for both pressure fermentation and natural carbonation of beer. This level meets the requirements of most beer styles and ensures safe use of the FermZilla fermenter.

Does the set fit both FermZilla bowl sizes?

Yes, the kit fits both 27 L and 55 L FermZilla fermenters. For a 27 L dish, the 80 cm silicone hose can be shortened to 60 cm to match the geometry of the smaller dish.

Why is pressure fermentation beneficial?

Pressurized fermentation reduces the formation of esters and higher alcohols, resulting in a cleaner flavor profile. It also allows automatic carbonation during fermentation, saving time and eliminating the need for priming sugar or forced carbonation.

Does the kit come with a lid?

No, the cover is not included in the pressure kit. A compatible FermZilla pressure lid must be purchased separately to seal the dish and ferment and serve under pressure.

Can beer be bottled directly from the container?

Yes, the float allows beer to be taken from the clearest layer and the kit allows bottling without pressure loss. This helps maintain carbonation and reduces oxygen exposure during transfer.
