Frequently asked questions about FGP0089
What fuel does this burner use?
The burner is designed as a standard for LPG with an operating pressure of 28-30/37mbar (50mbar in Germany). CNG (natural gas) versions are available on request. LPG consumption at nominal power of 6kW is 0.436kg/h. Always check your gas type and pressure before installation.
Why does a solenoid valve need 24V AC power?
The built-in solenoid valve opens the gas flow only when it is properly supplied with 24V AC voltage. This requires a 12/15VA transformer between the mains and the burner. Without proper power, the valve remains closed and ignition is impossible — this is a safety feature.
How does a safety valve work?
The safety valve uses a thermocouple connected to the pilot flame. If the flame goes out for any reason, the thermocouple cools and the valve automatically shuts off the gas supply, preventing unburnt gas from escaping. This is important when working indoors and without supervision.
What are the installation dimensions?
The main surface of the burner is 300×300mm and the total height is 190mm. Additional mounting dimensions are C=140mm and D=240mm. Ensure adequate ventilation and free space around the appliance and install in accordance with local gas safety regulations.
Can I use this burner with a remote thermostat?
Yes. The pilot flame system allows both manual control and remote temperature control via a compatible controller or thermostat connected to the solenoid valve circuit. It enables automated temperature management when cooking or heating.
