What is the maximum working pressure?
The fitting is designed for pressures up to 100 psi (6.9 bar), covering typical CO2 and beverage dispensing applications in brewing and winemaking. A double o-ring seal provides an additional margin of safety compared to single o-ring designs.
Is the material safe for food contact?
Yes, the fitting is made of BPA-free food grade engineering polymer with EPDM o-rings. EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance to ozone, oils, alkalis, acids, water, alcohol, ketones and beverages, making it suitable for beer, wine and other beverages.
How to remove the hose from the fitting?
To release the hose, first depressurize the system, then push the plier towards the fitting body and pull the hose out at the same time. Push-and-connect design allows quick and repeatable installation without tools or clamps.
Why is a straight cut important?
An angled or damaged hose end will not allow the EPDM o-rings to seal evenly around the circumference, causing leaks. Always use a sharp hose cutter for a clean cross cut before fully inserting the hose into the fitting.
