What are the advantages of a cam-lever coupling over a threaded one?
A cam-lever coupling connects and releases in seconds by hand with no tools, which speeds up changing hoses and cleaning between batches. Threaded fittings seal well but are slower to make and break repeatedly during a production day.
How do I make sure the coupling seals properly?
Make sure the mating faces and gasket are clean, push the adapter fully home before closing both levers together, and confirm the gasket isn't pinched or displaced. A clean, intact gasket and full engagement are what create the seal.
How should I clean and maintain the coupling?
Open it, remove and rinse the gasket, and clean the bore and sealing faces after each run so juice residue doesn't dry in and break the seal. Lightly check the gasket and lever pivots for wear during cleaning.
Why does my coupling leak even with the levers closed?
Usually the gasket is worn, dirty or displaced, or the adapter isn't pushed fully home before the levers were closed. Clean and reseat or replace the gasket and re-engage the adapter completely before pressurising.
