Why does honey water content matter?
The water-content scale shows how ripe and storage-stable the honey is; honey above a certain moisture level can ferment in storage. Measuring it before bottling helps you judge quality and shelf life.
How do I keep it accurate?
It has a durable aluminium housing; wipe the prism clean and dry after each high-sugar sample and recalibrate periodically. Sticky residue left on the prism is the most common cause of drifting readings.
