Replacement 6W Magnetic Drive Pump for BrewZilla Gen 4
This magnetic drive pump is the ideal solution for your beer brewing system. The pump can withstand temperatures up to 120°C, making it suitable for use directly with boiling liquid without prior cooling. It is an extremely efficient 1.1-amp pump that can be used continuously at high temperatures.
Pressure from restricted flow will not damage the magnetic drive pump, as this is exactly what it was designed for. The pump is not self-priming, so it must be positioned lower than the vessel and be filled with liquid before it can pump the liquid further. The pump is not submersible!
The pump inlet and outlet have a 14 mm outer diameter, allowing you to connect a silicone tube directly to the pump and secure it with a hose clamp.
This pump comes without wires, so it's ready for installation in your brewery or to replace the pump in your BrewZilla Gen 4 35L or 65L.

Usage Principle

Does this pump fit both the BrewZilla Gen 4 35L and 65L models?
Yes, this 6W magnetic drive pump is intended as a direct replacement for both the BrewZilla Gen 4 35L and 65L units. The pump is supplied without wires, which allows the use of the existing wires of the original pump. Simply disconnect the old pump, transfer the connections and install the new pump following BrewZilla's standard maintenance procedure.
Can the pump directly pump the boiling malt slurry?
Yes, the pump is rated up to 120°C and can safely circulate boiling malt liquor without pre-cooling. It is ideal for vortexing, circulation during mashing and cooling via a counterflow or plate cooler. Always make sure the pump is filled with fluid before starting to avoid dry running.
Why is the pump not self-priming and how to install it?
Magnetic drive pumps require fluid in the pump head to operate; without it, the impeller cannot move the fluid. Install the pump lower than the vessel to allow gravity to fill the pump head, then briefly open the outlet valve to expel the air. Never allow the pump to run dry for long periods as this will shorten the life.
What size hose to use with 14mm inlet and outlet?
Pump connections are 14mm outer diameter, designed for silicone hose with 11-13mm inner diameter. Secure the hose with a stainless steel hose clamp to prevent leaks, especially at high temperatures where the silicone expands slightly.
