How does a water press extract juice?

A flexible membrane inside the basket fills with mains water and expands, pressing the crushed fruit against the basket wall. You fill the basket with crushed fruit, close the lid and open the water valve to begin pressing; when finished you release the lid, tilt the basket and remove the pomace.

Why does the recommended water temperature matter?

The press is designed to run on water at roughly 8-20 degrees C. Water that is too warm can over-stress the membrane, while staying within the recommended range protects the membrane and helps maintain consistent pressing pressure.

What is the correct working pressure and why should I not exceed it?

The working pressure should not exceed 3.0 bar. Staying at or below this limit protects the membrane and basket and gives reliable extraction; pushing beyond it risks rupturing the membrane.

How do I keep the press in good condition?

Always fit the press filter before loading fruit, empty and rinse the basket and membrane after each use, and use the tilting mechanism to remove pomace gently rather than forcing it. Optional extra press filters and a collection tray with pre-filter can make cleaning and juice handling easier.
