Description
30 L regenerated oak barrel inside and outside
Outside and inside regenerated oak with oxygenation and tannin enrichment.
As well as being extracted from the grapes during fermentation, tannins are also found in the wood, so that the wine acquires the aromas even during its stay in the barrels or barriques.
Another function of tannins is that of a preservative, in fact they also act as antibacterials protecting the wine and ensuring its longevity.
Characteristics:
- Dimensions: Length cm 52; Ø cm 40

Frequently asked questions about BLP0101
What treatment should be applied to the barrel before and after use?
Before use, fill the barrel with cold water to expand the boards and ensure a tight connection, then rinse well. After use, empty, rinse and dry the barrel completely and sulphite with 5-10 g/hl to prevent microbial contamination during storage.
Is this keg suitable for wine and spirits?
Yes. The cask is made of reclaimed oak wood, treated both inside and out, and is fully suitable for contact with wines, spirits and other alcoholic beverages. Wood also gives aromas and tannins to the wine during aging.
How to store the keg when not in use?
Wrap the barrel in plastic wrap and place in a room with 75-80% humidity, no air flow, and dim light. Cover with cloth to protect from UV rays. Proper storage prevents the wood from drying out and cracking.
Why are the measurements only indicative?
Each barrel is a handmade product, individually assembled and finished by coopers. Small differences in length, diameter and capacity are normal and do not affect the functional suitability for wine aging.
What are the benefits of oak tannins?
Oak tannins enrich the wine with additional aromas and structure, and act as natural preservatives and antibacterial agents. They protect the wine from oxidation and microbial spoilage, improving stability and extending shelf life in the bottle.
