Frequently asked questions about TSP0083.1000
What bottles are these caps suitable for?
These 24x45mm caps are designed for standard Bordeaux and Rhine wine bottles with an inside neck diameter of 18.5-19mm. They provide reliable density for both still and slightly sparkling wines, making them a versatile choice for home winemaking.
How long can wine be stored with these corks?
These corks are best suited for young wines intended for consumption within 18 months. For longer aging, we recommend higher class natural corks. Agglomerated body with natural discs offers excellent short to medium term density.
Do I need a capping machine to install the caps?
Yes, a hand or table top capping machine is required. The 24mm diameter needs to be compressed for the bottle neck. Manual installation without a capping machine is not possible and may damage the cap or break the seal.
Why are there natural cork discs at the ends?
Natural cork discs ensure that only clean, untreated cork comes into contact with the wine, preserving the integrity of aroma and taste. The agglomerated body provides structural uniformity and flexibility, combining the benefits of both materials in one affordable cap.
Can the cap decoration be customized?
Standard trims vary depending on current inventory and are not selectable to order. For custom logo or personalized printed caps, please contact us directly for wholesale inquiries and minimum order quantities.
