What bottles does this cap fit?
The ∅17mm mushroom cap is designed for sparkling wine bottles and similar containers that require a wire closure. The mushroom-shaped head rests on the neck of the bottle and the lower part is pressed into the neck, ensuring a reliable seal for carbonated beverages.
Can the cap be reused after opening?
Natural corks are designed for single use. After opening, the compressed lower part partially expands back and no longer ensures the original tightness. To achieve the best result and maintain the quality of the drink, we recommend using a new cap for each bottling.
How to store caps before use?
Store the corks in their original packaging in a clean, dry place at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Avoid humid environments to prevent mold growth. Use the caps within a reasonable time after opening the package to maintain their elasticity.
What equipment is needed for capping?
To install the ∅17 mm mushroom cap, a hand or floor corker is required, which compresses the cap and installs it in the neck of the bottle. In the case of sparkling wine bottles, a wire cage (musele) is also required after capping, which holds the cap firmly in place under internal pressure.
