Description
Pressure gauge 1-6bar 1/4" thread
Precise and durable pressure gauge for monitoring working pressure in CO2 and N2 gas systems of beverage coolers. The instrument has a standard 1/4-inch thread.
Operating principle. The pressure gauge is installed in the gas system (usually on the CO2 pressure regulator) and displays the pressure of the gas used for beverage dispensing. Correct pressure is critical as too low pressure does not ensure sufficient beverage flow and too high pressure causes excessive foaming. In beer systems, optimal working pressure is usually 2.5-3.5 bar.
Measurement range: 1-6 bar. Thread connection: 1/4". Clear pressure indicator. Durable metal housing. Suitable for CO2 and N2 gas systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What operating pressure should the beer system be set to?
In most beer systems, the optimal CO2 operating pressure is 2.5-3.5 bar. The exact value depends on the type of beer, the length of the lines and the temperature. Too low a pressure results in a flat beer and slow distribution, too high causes excessive foaming and disturbs the balance of carbonation.
Is the pressure gauge suitable for both CO2 and N2?
Yes, the pressure gauge is designed for use with both CO2 and N2 gases used in beverage bottling systems. It can be installed on pressure regulators of both gas types in the working pressure range of 1-6 bar.
What is the gauge thread size?
The gauge has a standard 1/4" thread, which is the most common connection on CO2 and N2 pressure regulators in the beverage industry. This ensures compatibility with most existing bottling systems.
How do you know a gauge needs to be replaced?
Replace the gauge if the pointer does not return to zero when the pressure is released, the readings are unstable or inaccurate, or if the housing/glass is damaged. A faulty gauge can cause a false a pressure setting that affects both the quality of the drink and the safety of the system.
