What is the rubber cone made of and why does that matter?
It is made of food-grade rubber that does not react with the acidity of juices, so it can sit in the filling line in direct contact with the product without tainting it. Using a food-approved elastomer is what keeps the filling process safe and hygienic.
What job does the cone do on the filler?
The elastic cone forms a leak-proof seal between the filling nozzle and the bottle or container neck, so liquid flows in cleanly without dripping or spilling. Its flexibility lets it grip firmly and seat itself against the opening during each fill.
