Description
2-Bubble Airlock for Fermentation - Quality Solution for 1-50L Containers
Reliable 2-bubble airlock ensures the safety and quality of your fermentation process. This popular model is ideal for 1-50-liter containers and fits precisely into a 9 mm opening.
Technical Specifications:
- Fits 35 mm bottle neck with rubber stopper
- Standard 9 mm installation hole
- Container capacity: 1-50 liters
Protection Features:
- Protection against insects
- Prevents oxidation
- Prevents contamination
Operating Principle and Maintenance:
The airlock works on the water lock principle, where liquid in the siphon prevents outside air access. Carbon dioxide produced during fermentation exits through the airlock due to overpressure.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How does a two-bubble airlock work, and why two bubbles?
Water held in the two chambers forms a one-way barrier: carbon dioxide produced during fermentation bubbles up and escapes, while outside air, insects and microbes cannot pass back in. The two-bubble (S-shaped) design keeps the water seal stable even during vigorous fermentation.
How much water should I add, and how do I maintain the seal?
Fill the airlock to the marked level with clean water (some makers add a little sanitiser solution). Check it regularly, because water can evaporate or be pushed out during active fermentation, and top it up so the seal is never lost.
Which container and bung size does this version fit?
It is designed for vessels of 1-50 litres and seats in a 9 mm hole, and this version comes with a 35 mm rubber stopper to match a 35 mm opening. Confirm that your vessel's neck or opening matches before buying.
What common mistakes should I avoid?
Do not let the water dry out, as that breaks the seal; do not overfill, or liquid can be sucked into the must if the temperature drops; and clean and sanitise the airlock between batches to prevent contamination.
