    Multipurpose filters for juice filtration. For use in a juice post-filter system, i.e. larger sediment must be removed with a pre-filter. Filter size 40x40cm. 100 pcs in a package, 25 pcs in a small package. The filters are made of pure natural materials such as various cellulose layer fibers obtained from hardwoods and conifers, diatomaceous earth and perlite. The filters themselves are biodegradable. How to place the filter? Filters require careful handling when inserted into the plate filter. Avoid rotating, bending and rubbing the filter element. Do not use a damaged filter. Each filter plate has a rough side and a smooth side. Wetted pads are sterilized with steam or hot water before filtration. After sterilizing, gently unscrew the tensioned pads from the casing and allow to cool before use. Sterilization: hot water (soft and clean): 25 minutes at +85°C, measured at exit (at least 0.5 bar exit pressure). Steam (clean) up to a maximum of 134°C, about 20 minutes. Then rinse with clean water (50ml/m²). Regeneration First rinse with cold water (15-20°C) for 5 minutes in the direction of filtration. Rinse with hot water (60-80 ° C) for 10 minutes in the opposite direction. Attention: moistened pads must be reused as soon as possible..

    How do I choose the right filtration grade?

    Filter pads are graded from coarse to fine, and this one is the approximately 18 µm grade. Coarser pads clear gross sediment quickly and clog slowly, while finer pads polish the liquid to greater clarity but block sooner — so you pick the grade by how clear you need the result and how much sediment remains.

    Why does the juice need a pre-filter before these pads?

    These are post-filter (polishing) pads, so large sediment must already be removed by a coarse pre-filter first. Feeding unfiltered, pulpy juice straight onto them blinds the pads quickly and wastes them.

    How should the pads be handled when loading the plate filter?

    Handle them gently — avoid twisting, bending, or rubbing the pad, and never use a damaged one. Each pad has a rough side and a smooth side, and it must be fitted the correct way round in the frame for proper flow.

    How are the pads prepared before filtering?

    Wet pads are sterilised before use, typically with clean hot water at about +85 °C for around 25 minutes, measured at the outlet. After sterilising, ease the tensioned pads slightly and let them cool before running product.
