Frequently asked questions about this product
What brewing method is this bag designed for?
It is made for brew-in-a-bag (BIAB), where mashing and lautering happen in one vessel. The grain steeps inside the bag in the kettle, then the whole bag is lifted out to separate the spent grain from the wort, removing the need for a separate mash tun.
What does the 47-57 L size range refer to?
The range indicates the kettle volumes the bag is intended to fit, so it drapes over the rim and lines a pot in that capacity band. Matching the bag to your kettle size ensures the grain stays contained and the bag is easy to lift.
Why does heat-resistant polyester matter for this use?
The bag sits in near-boiling water throughout the mash, so the fabric must tolerate sustained heat without weakening or shedding fibres. Heat-resistant polyester keeps its strength when lifting a heavy, wet grain bed out of the kettle.
How should it be cared for so it lasts many brews?
Wash it with warm water by hand or in a dishwasher, rinse three times with clean water and dry after each use. Keeping the bag from resting directly on the kettle bottom during the boil also protects it from heat damage.
