    Why must the pump be filled with liquid before starting?

    It is a self-priming pump, so its housing must be filled with the liquid first to create the suction that draws the rest through. Running it dry can damage the working element, so always prime it before switching on.

    Which liquids is it intended for and which should be avoided?

    It is designed for food-grade non-spirit beverages such as wine, beer and cider. The maximum liquid temperature is +45 °C, so it should not be used for hot liquids or for high-proof spirits.

    How do the suction depth and head height affect where I install it?

    The pump can draw from a depth of up to 8 metres and lift the liquid up to a head of 6 metres. Position the pump and plan the hose runs so the source and destination stay within these limits.

    How should the pump be kept food-safe?

    The wetted working element is AISI 304 stainless steel. Flush and clean the pump after each use and store it dry to keep it hygienic for the next food-grade transfer.
