      What does the higher head of this model make possible?

      This pump can lift liquid to a head of up to 32 metres, considerably more than smaller transfer pumps. That makes it suitable for moving wine, beer or cider over greater height or distance, for example up to elevated tanks.

      How do I match hoses to the connections?

      The inlet is a 1 1/4" female thread and the outlet a 1" female thread, so choose hose fittings that match these threads. Hose connections are included in the set.

      Why is it not suitable for strong alcohol?

      The pump and its seals are designed for food liquids such as wine, beer and cider. Pumping high-proof spirits is outside its rated use and is therefore not recommended.

      Does it need priming before use?

      Yes, it is a self-priming pump and the housing must be filled with liquid before startup so it can establish suction. Avoid running it dry.
