      What tool do I need to apply these 26 mm crown caps?

      You need a crown capper sized for 26 mm caps (a bench or two-handle model); it crimps the metal skirt around the bottle lip, so the caps cannot simply be pressed on by hand.

      Can bottles closed with these caps be pasteurised?

      Yes. The plastic liner tolerates pasteurisation temperatures, but the caps are not intended for high-temperature sterilisation.

      Which bottles accept a 26 mm crown cap?

      Standard glass bottles with a 26 mm crown finish, such as typical beer and soft-drink bottles; they will not fit screw-thread or PET necks.

      Can the caps be reused after opening?

      No. Crimping permanently deforms the skirt, so a fresh cap is needed for each bottling to keep the seal hermetic.
