    What are these filter sheets used for?

    BECO ACF 07.10 coconut activated carbon sheets are used to purify liquids in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries. They effectively remove dyes, odors and unwanted organic compounds from fruit juices, spirits, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

    What are the dimensions of the sheets and the quantity in the package?

    Each sheet measures 20x20cm and the package contains 25 pieces. A large package of 400 pieces is also available. This size fits small to medium sized filter presses used in craft stills and laboratory applications.

    How to prepare the leaves before use?

    Pre-rinse the leaves with 50 l/m² of water at 1.25 times the normal rate for 10-20 minutes. It removes loose particles and activates the charcoal matrix. Correct rinsing ensures optimal filtration results and avoids off-flavors in the final product.

    Can these sheets be sterilized?

    Yes, sterilization can be done with hot water at a temperature of 85°C for 30 minutes at a minimum pressure of 0.5 bar or with steam at a maximum of 121°C for 20 minutes. This ensures microbiological safety before filtering sensitive products.

    Are the leaves food safe and certified?

    Yes, the leaves comply with the standards LFGB (German Food Act), BfR recommendation XXXVI/1 and FDA directive CFR 21 § 177.2260. They are fully certified for food contact and suitable for beverage and pharmaceutical production.
