Refractometer 28-62% Brix with ATC
refractometer is a precision optical instrument that determines the density of a liquid based on its refractive index. Accurate yet easy to use: just place a few drops of liquid on the prism and the density/viscosity is read directly. Due to automatic temperature compensation (ATC), temperature correction is not necessary.
Installation Installation service: we install the device on site according to the manufacturer's instructions, connect to the line (mechanical connections) and perform initial setup and test run. Price depends on location, access and scope of work. (price by agreement / quote)No Yes46.90€

Description
Refractometer 28-62% Brix with ATC
refractometer is a precision optical instrument that determines the density of a liquid based on its refractive index. Accurate yet easy to use: just place a few drops of liquid on the prism and the density/viscosity is read directly. Due to automatic temperature compensation (ATC), temperature correction is not necessary. Scale 28-62% Brix, reading per 0.2%, Contents: refractometer, pipette, mini screwdriver, manual, storage bag, soft cleaning cloth. Degree of Brix (° Bx). The scale in Brix degrees (symbol ° Bx) is designed to determine how many grams of sucrose are dissolved in 100g of sugar aqueous solution. The degree of Brix indicates the strength of the solution as a percentage by mass (mass fraction of sugar). If you measure a value of 25°Bx, it means that 25g of sucrose is dissolved in 100g of aqueous solution. In other words, 100g of sucrose in an aqueous solution contains 25g of sucrose and 75g of water. Therefore, the percentage sign (%) is sometimes used as a unit, since the sucrose content is the percentage of sucrose by weight. Brix results are fully convertible to refractive index (degrees of Brix are defined according to the international standard ICUMSA), so refractometers equipped with a Brix scale can be used to measure any chemical.. -
Frequently asked questions about 013.041.3
What does ATC mean on a refractometer?
ATC stands for Automatic Temperature Compensation. The device automatically corrects the Brix reading according to the temperature of the sample, ensuring accurate results without manual recalculation. This saves time and reduces measurement errors.
What can be measured with the 28-62% Brix range?
This range is suitable for products with a high sugar content: honey, jams, marmalades, fruit concentrates, maple syrup, sweetened condensed milk and sweet wines. It is not suitable for liquids with low sugar content such as fresh wort — for these we recommend a 0-32% Brix refractometer.
How to use a refractometer correctly?
Place 2-3 drops of the sample on a clean prism, close the light plate and look through the eyepiece towards the light source. Read the value at the border of the light and dark fields. Clean the prism with a soft cloth after each measurement.
How to calibrate the device?
Calibrate the device periodically using distilled water. Place a few drops on the prism, read the value and use a mini screwdriver to adjust the calibration screw until the outline shows 0%. Detailed instructions are in the user manual.
Can the Brix example be converted to other units?
Yes. Brix values are defined by the international ICUMSA standard and can be converted to refractive index, specific gravity or potential alcohol using conversion tables. This makes the refractometer versatile in the food, beverage and laboratory industries.
