    What fruits can be pressed with this hydraulic press?

    The Zottel 160L is suitable for pressing apples, pears, berries, grapes and most stone fruits. For best results, fruit must be crushed or chopped before loading into the 160L basket. Harder fruits need preliminary crushing with a fruit crusher. The press is not suitable for uncrushed whole fruits or products with stones.

    How does a water hydropress actually work?

    The press uses tap water pressure (up to 3.0 bar) to fill an internal membrane that pushes the crushed fruit outwards onto the walls of the basket. The juice flows through the filter cloth and out the drain. Simply connect a regular water hose, close the lid and open the water valve — no electricity or hydraulic oil required.

    What is the typical juice yield from 160L of crushed apples?

    The juice yield depends on the maturity of the fruit, the variety and the quality of pre-crushing. Well-crushed ripe apples usually yield 70-75% juice by weight, which means that one full 160L basket can produce about 70-90 liters of juice. Productivity reaches up to 450 kg/h of processed fruit in continuous operation.

    How to clean the press after use?

    After pressing, open the lid, tilt the basket using the tilting frame and remove the pressing residues. Rinse the stainless steel basket, membrane and filter cloth with warm water. The tilting frame makes cleaning significantly faster than presses with a fixed frame. Allow all parts to dry completely before storing.

    Is this press certified and what is the warranty?

    Yes, the Zottel 160L is made in Slovenia from food contact stainless steel and meets EU standards for food contact equipment. FERMETECH offers a standard manufacturer's warranty. Spare parts such as filter cloths and membranes can be ordered.
