    How does a tri-clamp connection work and why is it popular?

    A tri-clamp joins two ferrules with a gasket between them, held by a single hinged clamp you tighten by hand, so you can connect or break the line in seconds without tools. That speed and the smooth, crevice-free joint make it the standard for hygienic food and beverage piping.

    Is a gasket included, and which one do I need?

    This clamp is supplied without a gasket, so you choose the gasket material to suit your process, such as EPDM, silicone or PTFE. Pick the gasket rated for your temperature and the liquid you run, and match it to the same DIN 32676 size.

    How do I assemble it for a leak-free joint?

    Seat the gasket between the two ferrule faces, close the clamp around the flanges and tighten the wing nut until firm, then check the ferrules are square and not pinching the gasket. Avoid over-tightening, which can extrude the gasket and actually cause leaks.

    What does the AISI 304 standard mean for use?

    AISI 304 stainless gives good corrosion resistance and easy cleaning for general juice, beer and dairy lines, and the clamp is rated to about 16 bar. For highly acidic or chloride-heavy media a 316 grade may last longer, but 304 is well suited to typical food duty.
