Description
Keg 8L Oxebar plastic reusable
Usage: This great value re-usable plastic keg is the best way to store your home brew in a smaller sized container than traditional 19L corny kegs. The small 8L size is convenient, light weight and perfect for sharing beverages with friends.
Features: This 8L keg is light weight, compact and has high oxygen barrier properties with 3x better (less) gas transmission than traditional PET grades of plastic making it suitable for beer storage or other oxygen sensitive carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. This product is sold with the PCO38 cap however if you would like to dispense this product through a draft system we recommend the use of the PCO38 Tapping Head. The tapping head is sold separately and allows you to attach standard ball lock disconnects and add a pressure relief valve to the top of this keg design.
What is Oxebar Mono: Oxebar Mono is a PET polymer blend that utilises several polymers blended together to significantly improve gas barrier properties. When compared with standard PET plastic Oxebar Mono is able to reduce oxygen ingress and CO2 loss so your precious beverage is preserved and shelf life extended by x3. We recommend this product for beer stored in keg up to 6 months.
Technical data: Capacity: 8L. Diameter: 155mm. Height: 520mm. Max pressure: 4 bar / 58psi. Max temperature: 45°C.
Warnings: Do not exceed 4 bar / 58psi or 45°C. All pressure vessels should be hydrotested every 2 years up to 6 bar. Instructions: 1. Remove RED prv and fit GREY prv (you can borrow one from a 19L keg). 2. Fill keg to the absolute brim with water. 3. Use bike pump, CO2 regulator, air compressor or any other pressure source to pressurize the keg to 6 bar. 4. Hold the keg at 6 bar for 1 minute. 5. Release the pressure and immediately remove GREY prv and swap back to RED prv. Note: This test should be done with the keg and water at room temperature 15-30°C.
⚠️ Important: Different plant extracts, tinctures or liquids may damage plastic during prolonged contact. Compatibility verification between packaging and solution is the responsibility of the filler/producer.
⚠️ Pressure Vessel: Pressure vessel — use under pressure. Max 4 bar / 58psi. Exceeding working pressure may cause deformation. Use a pressure gauge. Periodic hydrotesting: Test every 2 years up to 6 bar at room temperature (15-30°C).

Frequently Asked Questions
How long can I store beer in an 8L Oxebar?
Thanks to the Oxebar Mono polymer blend, this keel offers 3x better oxygen barrier than the standard PET. We recommend storing the beer for up to 6 months, maintaining optimal freshness, carbonation and flavor profile.
Can I connect this to someone with ball lock fittings?
Yes, but you need the PCO38 faucet head accessory (sold separately). It screws onto the PCO38 cap and allows the use of standard ball lock fittings and a pressure relief valve.
What is the maximum working pressure?
Maximum working pressure is 4 bar / 58psi at temperature up to 45°C. Exceeding these values may cause deformation or breakage. Always use a pressure gauge and pressure relief valve.
How does someone perform a pressure test?
Every 2 years: install gray PRV, fill completely with water, pressurize with 6 bar pump or CO2, hold for 1 minute, then release pressure and reinstall red PRV. Do at a temperature of 15-30°C.
Is it suitable for still drinks?
Yes, the high oxygen barrier makes it also suitable for oxygen-sensitive still drinks such as wine, cider or kombucha. Always check the chemical compatibility between your product and the PET compound material.
