      What is the blow-off barb used for during fermentation?

      It fits the blow-out and airlock holes of FTS and bucket lids, letting you attach a 1/2" hose to vent vigorous fermentation when an airlock alone cannot cope with the foam and CO2.

      Why does it include two O-rings?

      One O-ring is fitted and one is a spare. The seal is the part that wears, so having a replacement on hand lets you restore a tight, leak-free fit without taking the equipment out of service.
