    Which filter cartridges are compatible with this housing?

    The housing accepts standard 10-inch (10") filter cartridges with a Type D (DOE) tip. Depending on the application, a cartridge with a pore size of 0.1-10 µm can be selected — coarser for pre-filtration, finer (0.45 or 0.2 µm) for sterile polishing before bottling.

    Is AISI 316 stainless steel suitable for wine and acidic juices?

    Yes. AISI 316 contains molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to acids and chlorides compared to AISI 304. It is the industry standard in the production of wine, cider, fruit juice and craft beer where acidic environments come into contact with the equipment.

    How to clean and sterilize the filter housing?

    Disassemble the case, remove the cartridge and rinse all parts with warm water. Use standard CIP procedures with alkaline and acidic cleaners followed by hot-water or steam sterilization. Always use a new or properly regenerated cartridge before sterile filtration.

    What is the maximum throughput and how to measure it?

    The maximum throughput is 400 l/h, but the actual capacity depends on the pore size of the cartridge, the viscosity of the liquid and the number of particles. When sterile filtering beer or wine, operate well below maximum to extend cartridge life and maintain filtration quality.

    Is the filter housing CE certified?

    Yes, the product is CE certified and complies with all applicable EU safety and hygiene requirements for equipment in contact with food. Suitable for commercial breweries, wine estates and juice producers.
