    Why isn't a filter cartridge included, and how do I choose the right micron rating?

    The housing accepts cartridges from roughly 0.1 to 10 micrometres, and the right one depends on your task - a coarser rating for cold polishing and clarifying, a tighter 0.1 um for sterile filtration before bottling. Because the requirement varies, the cartridge is bought separately to match the job.

    What does the AISI 316 stainless steel construction give me?

    AISI 316 stainless steel offers strong corrosion resistance and hygienic, food-contact-safe surfaces, which matters when filtering acidic liquids such as wine and fruit juice. It also withstands repeated cleaning and intensive use over a long service life.
