    What does 6-micron filtration mean in practice?

    The 6 micron level means that the filter plate will trap all particles larger than 6 µm. It gives a transparent, polished result and is suitable for fine filtration of juices and wines before bottling, removing yeast residues and cloudy particles while preserving aroma and color.

    What plate filters do these plates fit into?

    The dimensions of the plates are exactly 20 x 20 cm and they fit into all standard 20x20 plate filters on the market. The thickness of 3.6 mm is the industry standard, so compatibility with most home and small industrial plate filter housings is guaranteed.

    What is the maximum working pressure?

    The maximum allowed pressure difference across the plate is 3 bar. Exceeding this can damage the plate structure and allow unfiltered liquid to pass through. For best results, we recommend working between 0.5 and 2 bar.

    Can the plates be reused?

    The filter plates are intended for single use. If the plate is saturated with precipitation, the filtration rate drops sharply and re-use can cause contamination. Install new plates for each filtration batch to ensure consistent quality.

    Are the plates food safe?

    Yes, the plates are made of food grade cellulose material suitable for filtering drinks. Before first use, rinse them in the assembled filter with clean water to remove paper fibers and possible residual flavors.
