Description
Filter Plates 40x40cm for Fine Liquid Filtration - 25 Plates per Set
High-quality 40x40cm filter plates are designed for precise filtration of juices, wines, and other liquids. Each plate features 5-micron filtration accuracy, ensuring crystal clear end results.
- Plate dimensions: 40 x 40 cm
- Filtration accuracy: 5 microns
- Package contains: 25 filter plates
- Plate thickness: 3.6 mm
- Maximum recommended working pressure: 3 bar
Filter plates are ideal for industrial and small-scale production filtration processes, ensuring uniform and effective filtration results. The optimal plate thickness of 3.6mm allows for long-term and efficient use.
It is important to follow the maximum allowed pressure difference of 3 bar, which ensures long service life of filter plates and quality filtration results.

Frequently asked questions about this product
What does the 5-micron rating tell me about what these sheets remove?
The 5-micron rating is the nominal pore size, so the sheets hold back suspended solids and haze-forming particles larger than about 5 microns while the clarified liquid passes through. A coarser (higher-number) rating is for a rough first pass; a finer (lower-number) rating gives a brighter, more polished result, so match the rating to the clarity you need at that stage.
Where do these sheets fit in a multi-stage filtration sequence?
Filtration normally runs from coarse to fine: a coarse sheet removes the bulk of the sediment first, then progressively finer sheets polish the liquid. Pushing everything through a fine sheet in one step clogs it quickly, so use these as one step in a graded sequence and choose neighbouring grades that are close in rating.
Why is the 3 bar maximum pressure difference important?
Exceeding the recommended pressure difference of 3 bar can deform or rupture the sheets and force unfiltered liquid or fibres through, spoiling the result. Watch the differential across the sheet stack and change sheets as it climbs toward the limit, since a rising differential is the sign that the sheets are clogging.
Should I flush new sheets before filtering, and can they be reused?
Flush new sheets with clean water before the run to rinse out loose fibres and any papery taste. They are a food-grade consumable meant for single use per batch; once clogged they cannot be fully restored, which is why they are supplied in packs of 25.
