It mounts a carbonation stone with a 1/4 inch male thread onto a 1.5 inch Tri-Clover port and provides a 9.5mm DuoTight gas inlet, so CO2 can be fed through the stone into the tank.
Which carbonation stone fits it?
A stone with a 1/4 inch male thread, such as the 0.22 micron 150mm rod; the 1/4 inch female side receives the stone and the 9.5mm barb takes the gas line.
Where on the tank should the stone be mounted?
As low in the tank as possible, so the CO2 bubbles travel the longest distance to the surface and dissolve more completely.
How do I maintain it?
Clean and sanitise the stone and adapter thoroughly before and after every use, because the fine pores clog easily and trapped residue makes gas flow uneven.
