Description
Pressure relief valve Cornelius grey 100psi 7bar
Usage: Replacement pull-ring style pressure relief valve (PRV) for Cornelius type kegs, compatible with MK4 Regulator and Kegmenter lids. This is the most common relief valve on all ball lock kegs.
Features: Manufactured to Cornelius standard with tight specifications for reliability. Accurately made and batch tested for consistency. Available in three opening pressure ratings: RED (35psi/2.5Bar), GREEN (65psi/4.5Bar), GREY (100psi/6.9Bar). Compatible with ball lock kegs - can replace lever tab style valves.
Technical data: Maximum pressure rating: 100psi. Opening pressure depends on color variant (RED: 35psi/2.5Bar, GREEN: 65psi/4.5Bar, GREY: 100psi/6.9Bar).
Warnings: Keep the pressure relief valve clean for correct operation. Dried beer or sugar residue can affect safe working and opening pressures - clean immediately if contamination occurs.
⚠️ Important: Pressure device - use under pressure. Max 100psi. Exceeding working pressure may cause deformation. Use pressure gauge.

Frequently asked questions about this product
What does the colour of the relief valve indicate?
The colour shows the pressure at which the valve opens and vents. In this Cornelius-standard range red is the lowest setting, green the medium setting and grey the highest (about 100 psi / 6.9 bar). Choose the colour whose release pressure sits just above your normal working pressure.
Can it replace the lever-tab valve on my keg?
Yes. This pull-ring style valve is the most common type fitted to ball-lock kegs and can replace older lever-tab valves. It also fits MK4 regulator and Kegmenter lids made to the Cornelius standard.
Why must the valve be kept clean?
Dried beer or sugar residue inside the valve can change the pressure at which it opens and stop it sealing correctly. Clean it as soon as any residue appears so it keeps protecting the keg at the rated pressure.
Is this an adjustable spunding valve?
No. It is a fixed safety device that vents at its rated pressure and is not adjustable. Always watch keg pressure with a gauge and never exceed the valve's rating, as over-pressure can deform the keg.
