Frequently asked questions about this product
Which surfaces can I mark and wipe clean, and which should I avoid?
These markers are made for non porous surfaces such as glass, mirrors, metal, plastic, tap handles and stainless kegs, where the ink wipes off cleanly. On porous surfaces like bare wood or cardboard the pigment soaks in and will not erase, so avoid those if you want to relabel.
How do I remove the writing to relabel a keg or tank?
On non porous surfaces simply wipe with a damp cloth, and use a little water or glass cleaner for stubborn marks. This lets you update batch numbers and dates between batches without any residue.
Will the markings survive a damp cellar or outdoor use?
Once dry the ink is water resistant and will not wash off in rain, and it is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. Labels on fermentation tanks therefore survive condensation in a cool cellar, yet still remove deliberately with a damp cloth.
Why choose the fine tip and white ink for cellar labelling?
The 1.5 mm bullet tip writes legible dates and batch codes in small spaces on tap badges and keg collars. The opaque white pigment stands out clearly against dark kegs and stainless steel, where an ordinary marker would be hard to read.
