      Filter housing 10" food grade plastic max 4.8bar/+50°C

      Usage: This beer filter is designed to be used with our Absolute 1 Micron Filter. This filter works best when used as the middle man when transferring icy cold (-1°C) uncarbonated beer between two kegs. All you will need to do is purchase some hosing, clamps, ball locks and an Absolute 1 Micron Filter to use this system. If you drink with your eyes, and prefer a crystal clear beer, then this really is the cheapest method to getting crystal clear beer with little to no effort.

      This system comes as standard with Duotight fittings that are compatible with our EVA Barrier 6.5mm ID x 9.5mm OD line.

      This filter can also be used to filter yeast in your distillation wash. By removing yeast before you put your wash into your boiler this will significantly improve the quality of your final spirit. Many off flavours in distillation can come from boiling yeast cells. When the yeast cells get boiled they break open releasing many off flavours aromas and fusil oils.

      ⚠️ Important: Hot liquids exceeding 50°C should not be used in direct contact with the filter housing. Do not use this filter on unrestricted mains water pressure exceeding 70 psi. Absolute 1 Micron Filter shown in picture does not come with the system, this is an additional purchase.

    • Frequently asked questions about this product

      What does the 10-inch size actually refer to?

      It is the standard cartridge length the housing accepts, not the housing outer size. Because 10-inch is an industry standard, you can fit widely available filter cartridges and pick different micron ratings for the same housing.

      Why is the housing transparent?

      The clear body lets you watch the cartridge and the liquid, so you can see when the filter is loading up with particles or when the liquid has run clear.

      How do I get the clearest filtration?

      Filter cold, settled liquid and let it pass through slowly. Running it warm or fast pushes haze and sediment straight through the cartridge.

      What pressure and temperature can it take?

      Stay within the rated maximum of about 4.8 bar and +50 C; exceeding either can deform a food-grade plastic housing. Release pressure with the ball valve before opening it.
