Usage: The new lightweight and reusable plastic kegs are brought to you by Oxebar and KegLand. Store your homebrew in a more convenient size, take it away camping or to a bbq. The new shorter profile 4L under 330mm will fit in most coolers/fridges. You can also dispense with it lying on its side.
Features: This great value re-usable plastic keg is the best way to store your home brew in a smaller sized container than traditional 19L corny kegs. The small 4L size is convenient, light weight and perfect for sharing beverages with friends. This 4L keg is light weight, compact and has extreme oxygen barrier properties. This extremely low gas transmission means your beverage will stay much fresher for longer. Suitable for carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. This product is sold with the PCO38 cap however if you would like to dispense this product through a draft system we recommend the use of the PCO38 Tapping Head. The tapping head is sold separately and allows you to attach standard ball lock disconnects and add a pressure relief valve to the top of this keg design. Oxebar Mono is a PET polymer blend that utilises several polymers blended together to significantly improve gas barrier properties. When compared with standard PET plastic Oxebar Mono is able to reduce oxygen ingress and CO2 loss so your precious beverage is preserved and shelf life extended by x3.
Technical data: Diameter: 155mm, Height: 325mm. Suitable for beer stored in keg up to 6 months. Do not exceed 4 bar / 58psi or 45°C.
Warnings: All pressure vessels should be hydrotested periodically every 2 years up to 6 bar. The process involves: 1) Remove RED prv and fit GREY prv, 2) Fill keg to the absolute brim with water, 3) Pressurize the keg to 6 bar and hold for 1 minute, 4) Release pressure and swap back to RED prv. Test should be done at room temperature 15-30°C.
⚠️ Important: Different plant extracts, tinctures or liquids may damage plastic with prolonged contact. Checking compatibility between packaging and solution is the responsibility of the filler/manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions about KL24877
How long can I store beer in this keg?
Thanks to Oxebar Mono's exceptional oxygen barrier, properly carbonated and sealed beer can be stored for up to 6 months. The extended shelf life is about 3 times longer than regular PET. Keep the keg cool, out of direct sunlight, and make sure the cap seal is intact.
What is the maximum working pressure?
Maximum working pressure is 4 bar (58 psi) at temperatures up to 45°C. Always use a pressure gauge when gassing or serving. Exceeding the working pressure can cause deformation. A hydrotest is recommended every 2 years up to 6 bar.
Is the PCO38 Tapping Head included?
No, only the PCO38 cap is included. The PCO38 Tapping Head is sold separately and is required for sink serving. It allows standard ball-lock fittings to be connected and adds a pressure relief valve to the keg.
Can I use it on still drinks?
Yes, the keg is suitable for both carbonated and non-carbonated drinks. Keep in mind, however, that certain plant extracts, tinctures or aggressive liquids can damage the plastic during long-term contact — always check compatibility before filling.
Does it fit in a regular fridge?
Yes. With a height of 325mm and a diameter of 155mm, a 4L barrel fits in most home refrigerators. You can also serve when the barrel is on its side — this helps with the lack of space.
