What does a male-thread (VK) fitting connect to?
A male-thread quick connector screws into a matching female-threaded port or coupling of the same nominal size and thread standard. Confirm both sides share the same thread type and size before connecting, otherwise the threads will cross or fail to seal.
Should I use thread tape or sealant on the connection?
For a leak-tight threaded joint, wrap PTFE tape or apply a food-safe thread sealant onto the male thread in the tightening direction so it doesn't unwind. This fills the small clearance between threads and stops weeping under pressure.
How do I keep this fitting hygienic between production runs?
Disconnect, rinse and clean the internal surfaces and any seal after each run, because residual juice sugars feed microbial growth in the threads and bore. Stainless surfaces clean easily, but pay attention to seats where deposits collect.
