How do I make a leak-proof Tri-Clamp connection?
Place the gasket between the two ferrule faces, then close the clamp evenly around both. Tighten by hand until the joint is firm — the clamp only needs to compress the gasket lightly. Over-tightening can distort the gasket and actually cause leaks, so snug rather than forced is the goal.
