This 1.5 Inch Tri Clover Tee is ideal for building a brewery or using as a versatile fermenter part. It conforms to the 1.5inch tri-clover standard and is commonly used in medical, food processing and other industries that prioritize cleanliness.
Our sanitary tri-clover elbow (also known as tri-clamp, ferrule fittings) is perfect for our modular fonts and other brewery needs. Crafted from food grade 304 stainless steel, these fittings are welded for maximum sanitation.
Frequently asked questions about this product
When should I use a tee instead of an elbow or straight coupling?
A tee splits or combines flow across three 1.5" tri-clover ports, so it is used wherever a line needs a branch - adding a sample valve, a gauge or a CO2 inlet to an existing run. Planning a tee in from the start saves cutting into a finished line later.
What else do I need to make each joint?
Each of the three ports needs its own 1.5" clamp and gasket, which are separate parts not included with a welded fitting. Match every mating component to the same 1.5" flange so the clamps seat correctly.
Why is a welded tee preferred for food and beverage use?
Welded construction has no internal threads or crevices where residue and bacteria can lodge, which is why tri-clover fittings dominate breweries and dairies. The smooth bore also rinses clean with less effort during CIP.
How do I aim the branch port?
Because tri-clamp joints rotate freely until the clamp is tightened, you can point the third port in any direction - a sample valve downward for draining, a gauge upward for visibility. Set the orientation first, then tighten the clamp to lock it.
