Frequently asked questions about IPP0130
What is the cooling plate used for?
The submersible cooling plate is designed to control the fermentation temperature in containers with liquid foods such as wine, beer or juice. It is immersed in the product and connected to an external cooling unit that circulates cold coolant through the internal channels of the plate to remove excess heat and maintain the desired fermentation temperature.
What material is the plate made of?
The standard version is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, suitable for most food grade applications. For more aggressive products or in case of stricter hygiene requirements, an AISI 316 version is available upon request. Both materials have an electropolished finish that ensures food safety and ease of cleaning.
How is the tile installed?
The plate is intended for vertical immersion installation in the fermentation tank. It is connected to the chiller via two 1/2" threaded fittings — one is the refrigerant inlet, the other is the outlet. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel to ensure correct position and secure connection.
What determines cooling capacity?
The cooling capacity depends on several factors: the heat capacity of the cooling unit, the flow rate of the coolant, the power supply system, the volume of the product to be cooled, and the initial temperature difference. For optimal results, the cooling unit must be correctly dimensioned according to the volume of the fermentation tank.
How to clean the disc?
Cleaning is easy thanks to the electropolished surface and crack-free TIG perimeter welding. Use food-grade detergents and disinfectants that are compatible with stainless steel. Rinse with clean water after each cleaning cycle to prevent residue build-up and maintain hygiene.
