What kind of liquids is this pump designed for?
It is a food-grade transfer pump for wine, beer, juice, milk, vinegar and similar food liquids. The low-lead body with Novax coating resists corrosion from mildly acidic products in the pH 3–11 range.
Can it handle hot liquids?
Yes — it is rated for liquids up to 95 °C and uses Viton (FKM) seals, which keep their sealing properties at high temperature, so it suits hot bottling or pasteurising transfers as well as cold work.
How should I protect the pump from damage?
It is built for thin, low-viscosity liquids, so avoid running it dry or pumping thick, particle-heavy products. Flush it with clean water after pumping juice or milk to stop residues drying inside the head.
Is it ready to plug in?
It comes with a 230 V Schuko plug and runs on standard single-phase mains, so no special wiring is needed; just connect food-grade hoses to the inlet and outlet.
