SMS-type connection fittings are available as additional equipment. When using the filter, please note that it is not designed to remove suspended particles (such as yeast) from liquid.

What level of filtration does the 0.3 mm mesh provide?
The 0.3 mm (300 micron) single-element mesh is a medium filtration stage — finer than coarse strainers but not a polishing filter. The manufacturer notes it is not intended to remove fine suspended matter such as yeast.
What connection does it use and are fittings included?
It is a DN25 filter, and SMS-type connection fittings are offered as additional equipment rather than included. Confirm whether your line uses SMS before ordering so the filter mates correctly with your pipework.
What happens if it is used to remove yeast or very fine particles?
Using it for fine suspended matter such as yeast will blind the mesh quickly and still won't clarify the liquid, because the openings are far larger than those particles. Use settling, centrifuging or a much finer filter for that task.
How should the single element be cleaned and maintained?
Backflush and brush gently along the weave and soak in a food-grade alkaline solution to dissolve residue. Because there is only one element, plan cleaning into your schedule so filtration isn't interrupted, and avoid sharp tools that enlarge the openings.
