What liquids can be filtered with the FCP-30?
The FCP-30 is designed for filtering wine, cider, beer, juices, vinegar, oils and other food-grade liquids. The stainless steel construction is food safe and suitable for acidic and alcoholic drinks. Filtration fineness depends on selected filter plates (sold separately) — from coarse clarification to sterile filtration.
How many filter plates does the device support?
The FCP-30 supports up to 30 filter plates with dimensions of 20x20 cm, giving a total filter area of 1.2 m². More discs mean higher throughput and longer change intervals. For a smaller batch, fewer plates can also be used, adjusting the configuration as needed.
What is the filtration capacity?
The flow rate is 1000-1800 liters per hour, depending on the viscosity of the liquid, the type of plate and the degree of filtration. Coarse plates allow higher flow rates, fine or sterile plates reduce throughput. The pump integrated with the bypass ensures a stable pressure and protects the plates from damage.
Can the pump be used separately?
Yes. The multi-purpose bypass pump can be disconnected and used for re-pumping liquids, transferring between tanks or other tasks in the basement. The bypass function protects the pump from running dry and allows the flow rate to be adjusted without stopping the motor.
Are the filter plates included?
No, the filter plates (20x20 cm cellulose cartridges) are sold separately, so you can choose the fineness that suits your purpose — from coarse K100 to sterile EK. We recommend ordering the set according to the filtration levels. The set includes an intermediate plate that allows two different plate types to be used simultaneously.
